Ezequiel Garay wants to stay at Benfica

Benfica defender Ezequiel Garay has dismissed rumours linking him with a move away from the club.

The centre-back has been linked with Roma this summer, but has now stated his desire to remain with the Portuguese League runners-up.

"I've always enjoyed it here, right from day one," Garay told Record. "I have no reason to leave, I'm happy.

"I have not asked about offers from abroad - they are just [made up rumours] anyway."

Garay joined Benfica from Real Madrid in July last year.
