Steven Naismith, Peter Haring and Clevid Dikamona could all be sidelined for Wednesday’s Ladbrokes Premiership clash at Tynecastle.

Hearts boss Craig Levein was left with Edinburgh derby injury concerns after their 3-0 Betfred Cup semi-final defeat to Celtic at BT Murrayfield.

Skipper Steven Naismith came off after just eight minutes with a knee injury and although the Jambos gave as good as they got in an uneventful first half, they conceded three times in 20 minutes after the break to exit the competition.

Scott Sinclair’s 53rd-minute penalty opened the scoring and a strike by fellow substitute Ryan Christie sandwiched a goal from James Forrest to book the Hoops their final spot.

Hearts take on Hibernian in the Ladbrokes Premiership at Tynecastle on Wednesday night and will probably be without Naismith and midfielder Peter Haring, with defender Clevid Dikamona also picking up a knock.

Levein said: “Steven felt something in his knee and obviously he has had a couple of serious operations in the past.

“He wasn’t feeling too good about it. We need to get an investigation to find out what is wrong.

“Peter Haring’s hernia was playing up at half-time and I was hoping to get him off at some point in the game but didn’t manage to do that so he is struggling for the next couple of games and Clevid got a dead leg near the end.

“Once the final whistle went my main concern was looking to Wednesday and seeing what we have got available.

“We need to dust ourselves down after the disappointment and in some ways I am glad to have a derby match coming up to help us refocus.”
