Jason Holt close to Hearts playing return

Jason Holt returns to training, but will not feature against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Hearts midfielder Jason Holt has returned to training after a long-term injury, although the youngster will not feature against Inverness Caldeonian Thistle this weekend.

The 20-year-old, who suffered the injury in training last year, is to feature for the Under-20s side next week.

"Jason Holt started back training on Monday," manager Gary Locke told Hearts TV. "He's been out for a long period of time and we're just hoping he doesn't react to the training.

"He got a good session yesterday and a really hard session this morning, so as long as he doesn't get any reaction to that then we'll maybe look at getting him a wee run in the Under-20s next week."

Hearts are currently bottom of the Scottish Premiership table following a points deduction.
