Hannover 96 boss Dirk Dufner has revealed that the German club have not approached Mame Biram Diouf about a new long-term contract.
The former Manchester United striker has scored 20 goals in 42 games for the Bundesliga club since arriving in 2012, but his current deal expires at the end of the season.
"We are actually not in talks, that information is true," Dufner told Sky Deutschland.
"But I have agreed with Diouf's agent Jim Solbakken that we will be giving each other phone calls as soon as he is back in the office. And then we will surely resume with those contract talks."
A number of European outfits are believed to be keen on signing the 25-year-old.
