Suarez makes Chinese Super League move

Chinese Super League outfit Guizhou Hengfeng Zhicheng have revealed that they have signed Watford midfielder Mario Suarez.

The Spaniard only joined the English club from Fiorentina in January 2016, but was sent on loan to Valencia for the 2016-17 campaign after struggling to make an impression in the Premier League.

The 30-year-old has now become the latest European player to make the move to China, with Zhicheng releasing a statement confirming that the experienced midfielder had arrived.

"Hopefully, he will integrate with our team as soon as possible, making a contribution to Guizhou football and Zhicheng football club with his rich experiences and splendid skills," read a club statement.

Zhicheng, who were promoted from the second tier of Chinese football last term, are currently 11th in the Chinese Super League after winning just four of their first 16 games of this season.
