Jean Alain Boumsong: 'Greece can do well at Euro 2012'

Panathinaikos defender Jean Alain Boumsong has tipped 2004 winners Greece to shine at Euro 2012.

Boumsong, who took part in both Euro 2004 and Euro 2008 with France, insists that Greece have the potential to make an impact in Poland and Ukraine this summer and hopes to see them do well. "I wish for Greece to win [against Poland]," he said. "It will be an open game.

"I believe that Greece can do well in the tournament and advance to the next stage. You have a well-organized team and I believe that Greece can do something good.

"Good luck Greece."

Greece kick off Euro 2012 against co-hosts Poland in Warszawa this afternoon.
