Callum Roberts, Adam Campbell join Gateshead on loan

Newcastle United duo Callum Roberts and Adam Campbell have joined non-League side Gateshead on short-term loan deals.

The strikers will link up with the Conference Premier side until February 14 on emergency youth loan contracts in a bid to help their push for a playoff place.

However, they will also be able to play for Newcastle for the duration of the loan.

Roberts, 17, agreed a new contract at St James' Park in November, while Campbell, 20, has made three appearances for the Newcastle first team, and has enjoyed loan spells at Hartlepool United and Fleetwood Town this season.
