Fulham boss Kit Symons left "gutted" by late defeat at Brentford

Kit Symons admits that he is "gutted" by Fulham's late defeat away to Brentford.

Fulham manager Kit Symons has admitted that he is "gutted" by his team's late defeat to Brentford in the Championship.

The Cottagers led with 10 minutes to go at Griffin Park on Friday night before the hosts turned the game around to claim a 2-1 win.

After seeing his side's six-game unbeaten run come to an end, Symons believes that they deserved to come away with at least a share of the spoils.

"I'm disappointed to say the least. The players are very disappointed," the Welshman told the club's official website. "I am gutted for them. I am gutted for our fans as well.

"The fact that we got our noses in front and with such a short period of time to go, makes it really disappointed to come away from the game with nothing at all, not even a point."

Fulham have the chance to get back to winning ways next Saturday when they make the trip to Brighton & Hove Albion.
