France coach Deschamps signs new deal

France coach Didier Deschamps has extended his time with the national side by signing a new two-year contract.

The fresh terms will keep Deschamps, who replaced Laurent Blanc after Euro 2012, as France's head coach until the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The news regarding Deschamps, who took France to the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Brazil last year, was announced by French Football Federation president Noel Le Graet on Thursday.

France will host the European Championships next year.
