Scottish League One roundup: Forfar Athletic beat Brechin City to go top

Forfar Athletic beat Brechin City 3-1 to overtake Stranraer and go top of the Scottish League One.

Derek Young, Chris Templeton, and Darren Dods all scored for Forfar, while Paul McLean and Andy Jackson got City's goals.

Stranraer, meanwhile, beat Airdrieonians 1-0 courtesy of a late William Gibson goal.

Dunfermline Athletic beat Stenhousemuir 1-0 thanks to a Fayssal El-Bakhtaoui goal, while Declan McManus and Ross Forbes both scored in injury time as Greenock Morton beat Ayr United 2-1 after Jon Paul McGovern had put the visitors ahead.

Peterhead lost to Stirling Albion 2-1 after Andy Stirling grabbed a late winner. Lewis Coult and Rory McAllister got the other goals for their respective sides.
