Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella has agreed terms on a fresh contract, which is believed to be a four-year deal.
The club did not reveal the terms of the deal, however the 39-year-old will, according to president Andrea Della Valle, remain at the club for the long-term.
"This is just a formality, we reached an agreement a long time ago," the coach is quoted by UEFA.com as saying.
"I wish to thank the club and the fans for their support, but we are aware that a difficult task is waiting ahead for us now."
Fiorentina finished fourth in Serie A last season, Montella's first at the helm.
