What can we expect from Pochettino at Chelsea?

In the last few months, most of the Sport on TV today has been dedicated to football. People read stories of Mauricio Pochettino becoming the next head coach of Chelsea. Yesterday, it finally happened. This may come as a bit of betrayal for the fans of Tottenham Hotspur, as he is their former coach with whom they had terrific success in both Premier League and Champions League. But, the popular Poch is now a Blue, and he will try to bring the glory days back to Stamford Bridge. If you watched last season in the Premier League, you know how miserable Chelsea was. Well, the new Chelsea owners have been searching for a new manager for a long time, but the real reason why they opted for Poch is because he plays attacking football. This is one of the main reasons why Poch was brought. Chelsea lacked goals last season, and this will be one of the pivotal things the new manager will try to improve. Here is what we can expect from Pochettino at Chelsea.

Attacking Football

We said that Chelsea struggled with attacking football the previous season and lacked goals like never before. This is precisely what Mauricio Pochettino needs to improve. Fortunately for the Blues, this is the only style of play he nourishes. Back in the day, when he coached Spurts, they played the most beautiful football in the Premier League. They nearly won the title. This is why the Chelsea owners opted for him. With the talent that Chelsea has in attack, this should not be a problem next season.

He Will Bring Authority Back To The Team

In the previous season, the Chelsea team looked pretty disorganized. Many experts believe that happened because there was no authority in the dressing room. This will change when Poch comes. He is an experienced coach who has proven himself in many teams. That means the young players will look up to him and will want to learn from him.

This is exactly where respect and authority come from.

He Will Trim The Squad

Last season, Chelsea had many panic buys. That resulted in many players in the squad trying to get into the starting line-up. This ruined the cohesion in the team, and Poch needs to find a way to bring back that team spirit. One of the best ways he can do that is by trimming the team. We can definitely expect some players to leave the club this summer.
