Farnborough boss changes name to Jose Mourinho

Conference South side Farnborough FC have adopted a new identity as part of a sponsorship agreement with bookmakers Paddy Power.

The financial package, which will provide vital support to the club, has seen their boss Spencer Day legally change his name to Jose Mourinho.

Meanwhile, the entire first-team squad have adopted new names in the shape of icons Lionel Messi, Pepe, Diego Maradona and Paul Gascoigne.

"The end result is that, on paper, the Conference South team will be without doubt the best combination of playing talent that has ever been assembled," a Farnborough press release revealed.

"It's not just the Farnborough FC faithful, all Conference South fans now need only to travel to Paddy Power Park, and not Camp Nou, to see some of the world's best players."

Farnborough finished 13th in the table last season.
