Everton renew interest in Marco Silva?

Former Watford manager Marco Silva is reportedly back in the frame as a contender to take over at Everton next season.

According to Goal.com, the Blues will consider approaching the Portuguese coach again if they decide to part company with Sam Allardyce this summer.

Silva was a leading contender to succeed Ronald Koeman at Everton when he was sacked in October, but Watford rejected the Toffees' approach and later blamed the Goodison Park outfit for destabilising them by circling their manager.

Allardyce was eventually installed as Everton boss and successfully guided the club away from the relegation zone, but the former England head coach has not proved a popular figure at Goodison.

Shakhtar Donetsk manager Paulo Fonseca has also been linked with Everton, as well as the upcoming managerial vacancy at Arsenal.
