Sevilla breeze past 10-man Espanyol

A strong Sevilla side has comfortably overcome Espanyol 3-0 to take a 6-1 aggregate win and reach the Copa del Rey fifth round.

Sevilla came out stronger and had a chance after 15 minutes, but Jesus Navas struck wide of the target.

On 24 minutes, Diego Perotti hit the post with a great effort, but a minute later he had an even better chance.

Javi Lopez for Espanyol gave away a penalty with a professional foul and was given his marching orders. Perotti stepped up and made no mistake to extend Sevilla's aggregate lead to 4-1.

Just before half time, Ivan Rakitic scored from a Navas assist to put the game beyond Espanyol.

Then, just four minutes into the second half, Rakitic turned provider to set up Baba to make it 3-0 on the night and 6-1 on aggregate.

Baba and Navas had chances to extend the lead further but both were off target with their efforts.

Espanyol were unable to get a goal back and Sevilla eased into the next round.
