Theo Walcott to partner Harry Kane up front against Italy?

Theo Walcott will partner Harry Kane in attack for England in their international friendly against Italy on Tuesday, according to reports.

England manager Roy Hodgson confirmed that Harry Kane will start up front after it was presumed that captain Wayne Rooney would be his strike partner.

However, The Guardian claims that Hodgson will give Walcott his first start since September 2013, with Rooney at the top of a midfield diamond.

Walcott has previously said that he is ready to fight for his place in the England team following a long-term knee injury.
