Prince William to attend Wembley friendly between England, France

Kensington Palace has confirmed that Prince William will attend Tuesday night's international friendly between England and France.

The announcement was made alongside the news that Scotland Yard will send armed police to the stadium as increased security following Friday's terrorist attacks in Paris.

Three suicide bombers detonated explosives outside of the Stade de France while the national team played Germany in a friendly.

Five other locations in Paris, including the Bataclan concert hall, were targeted by terrorists, who killed 129 people in total.

According to The AP, Prince William, who is the president of the Football Association, wants to attend the game out of 'solidarity to the people of France'.

The words to the French national anthem 'La Marseillaise' will be screened across Wembley for both sets of fans to sing prior to kickoff on Tuesday.
