FA to approach Harry Redknapp for England Euro 2012 job

FA to approach Redknapp for Euro 2012

The Football Association are reportedly considering making an official approach to Tottenham Hotspur for manager Harry Redknapp before Fabio Capello's contract runs out next summer.

As the favourite to be the Italian's long-term replacement, Redknapp's chances of being in charge in time for the Euro 2012 finals have been described as "probable", according to The People.

It is understood that the FA are awaiting the verdict on Redknapp's impending tax issue trial before making the approach.

Club chairman Daniel Levy is said to be happy to let his manager go on a full-time basis in return for the £15m price tag that he put on the former Portsmouth boss's head a year ago.
