Andy Carroll starts in attack for England for tonight's Group D encounter with Sweden at Euro 2012.

Andy Carroll has been given a place in England's starting lineup for tonight's Group D encounter with Sweden at Euro 2012.

The Liverpool striker will partner Danny Welbeck in attack as Roy Hodgson makes one change to his side for the match in Kiev.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will start on the bench as Ashley Young reverts back to the right wing to make way for Carroll.

Meanwhile, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been passed fit for the Swedes and will be joined by Johan Elamder up front.

The match will kick off at 8pm, 15 minutes later than scheduled, after rain forced a lengthy stop in play between Ukraine and France in Donetsk.

England: Hart; Johnson, Terry, Lescott, Cole; Milner, Gerrard, Parker, Young; Carroll, Welbeck

Sweden: Isaksson; Granqvist, Mellberg, J Olsson, Mn Olsson; Larsson, Svensson, Kallstrom, Elm; Ibrahimovic, Elmander
