Half-Time Report: Aberdeen, Dundee United remain goalless in Scottish League Cup semi-final

The Scottish League Cup semi-final stays scoreless as Dundee United and Aberdeen go into the break.

Aberdeen and Dundee United have gone into the break scoreless in the Scottish League Cup semi-final.

The match started quietly with Aberdeen having a number of corners but failing to use them to full effect. The first shot of note was a speculative effort from Stuart Armstrong, which deflected off an Aberdeen player before going over with the help of the crossbar.

Debutant Donervorn Daniels then blocked another Armstrong shot before Calum Butcher skied an effort well over the bar.

Some last-ditch Dundee defending saw both Peter Pawlett and David Goodwillie denied in the box, after Pawlett had a chance blocked from a Jonny Hayes free kick.

Daniels then smashed a shot over the bar after a Ryan Jack corner found him just before half time, leaving the score at 0-0.
