Tony Pulis: 'We must stay focused'

Tony Pulis says that Crystal Palace's "senior players" are "very important" as they battle against relegation.

Tony Pulis has told his Crystal Palace players that they need to keep their "focus" as they continue to battle against relegation.

The Eagles are 17th in the Premier League, one point clear of West Ham United, who currently occupy the final relegation spot.

West Bromwich Albion visit Selhurst Park on Saturday, and Pulis says that the experienced players in his squad are crucial to their chances of survival.

"The important thing is to keep your focus. The senior players are very important at this club - Paddy McCarthy, Danny Gabbidon, Damien Delaney, Julian Speroni and Mile Jedinak," Pulis told the Daily Star.

"Character is everything. You can have all the ability in the world - but if you haven't got the character, strength and willpower to get the most from it then you'll never achieve what you should achieve."

Palace have won five games at home this season.
