Crystal Palace co-chairman Stephen Browett wants Keith Millen to stay at Selhurst Park

Stephen Browett says that he would "love" Keith Millen to stay at the club in some capacity once they appoint a new manager.

Crystal Palace co-chairman Stephen Browett has said that he would welcome Keith Millen staying at the club as part of the new manager's backroom staff.

Palace are yet to name a replacement for Ian Holloway and Millen has acted as caretaker boss in that time.

Iain Dowie and Dan Petrescu have been heavily linked with the job, but Browett said that he would "love" to see Millen stay, although he will not force the new manager to keep him.

"He is a Palace supporter and his dad played for Palace," Browett told the Croydon Advertiser.

"We are not naive enough to think that we can tell the manager how to run his club – we may be the owners of the club but we are not experts in running a football team and that is the manager's job.

"He will choose his backroom staff, but if he does have a place for Keith, I would love that."

Palace's other co-chairman, Steve Parish, said today that the club could name their new manager on Monday.
