Half-Time Report: Coventry City lead Crawley Town

Coventry City have recorded a slender 1-0 half-time lead over Crawley Town at the Sixfields Stadium in League One this afternoon.

The Sky Blues started much the better of the two teams without penetrating Town's defence, with Jordan Clarke and Carl Baker both trying their luck from distance to no avail.

The breakthrough came on 41 minutes when Andy Webster rose highest to nod home the opener.

John Gregory's men spurned two opportunities to draw level on the stroke of half time. Gary Alexander flashed wide of the target after getting on the end of a Mike Jones pass, before Matt Tubbs fired over the bar in the dying moments of the first half.
