Preview: Chievo vs. Juventus

Chievo vs. Juventus

Juventus will attempt to continue their unbeaten start to their Serie A campaign when they make the trip to Chievo on Wednesday.

The home side will enter the match full of confidence having recorded a 2-1 win over Udinese at the weekend, a result that left them in 15th position in the table having taken four points from their first four games.

They have already suffered defeat on their own patch this season, however, losing to Napoli at the end of August. They were also beaten 2-1 in the corresponding fixture by Juventus last season.

Juve, meanwhile, enter the match on the back of a 2-1 win over Hellas Verona at the weekend. They currently sit in fifth position in the table, level on 10 points with Fiorentina and Inter Milan, but two points behind Napoli and Roma, who have won all four of their league fixtures so far this season.

Sergio Pellissier and Alberto Paloschi are both expected to continue in attack for the hosts, while Alessio Sestu should also start despite suffering a minor knock at the weekend. Simeone Bentivoglio and Cyril Thereau are also pushing for inclusion against the Italian champions.

Juventus boss Antonio Conte made five changes for the win over Verona, but the likes of Gianluigi Buffon, Stephan Lichtsteiner and Giorgio Chiellini are all expected to return to the starting lineup.

Fernando Llorente is also expected to keep his spot in the team following an impressive display last time out, with Sebastian Giovinco and Mirko Vucinic having to be content with a spot on the bench.
