Rolando Maran: 'Chievo lost the plot'

Chievo manager Rolando Maran believes that his side did not deserve to lose their Serie A match against Genoa.

Chievo manager Rolando Maran has claimed that his side "lost the plot" in their 2-1 defeat against Genoa this afternoon.

The Gialloblu went into the last 20 minutes of their match leading, but goals from Alessandro Matri and Mauricio Pinilla saw them fall to a third successive defeat.

"We gave an hour of good play, and should have closed the game out," Maran told Radio Rai.

"Then immediately after the goal and the red card we lost the plot.

"It is too bad; we have to bring home important points. The team played well for an hour, if we repeat that I will be happy. It is an undeserved defeat."

Today's result has left Chievo 19th in the Serie A table.
