Nemanja Matic: 'It took me one minute to decide Chelsea move'

Nemanja Matic claims that it only took a minute for him to decide that he wanted to rejoin Chelsea.

Nemanja Matic has claimed that it took him only a minute to decide that he wanted to sign for Chelsea in the January transfer window.

The Serbian insists that he was not thinking about the financial implications before his move to the club from Benfica was completed.

"I had no doubt's about coming back, I spoke with my agent one minute and that is it," Matic, whose first spell with Chelsea ended in 2011, told reporters. "I decided that it is good for me to come back.

"To be honest, I didn't know what my contract was going to be. I just said, 'OK, I'll go there and after we will see.' We made a deal and I am happy.

"I want to improve, to play good football in a good league. Money is not the most important thing."

Matic is expected to be involved when Chelsea play Aston Villa on Saturday.
