Guus Hiddink unhappy with Remi Garde's open interest in Loic Remy

Chelsea interim manager Guus Hiddink hits out at Remi Garde after the Aston Villa boss revealed his interest in signing Loic Remy on loan.

Guus Hiddink has criticised fellow Premier League manager Remi Garde after the Aston Villa boss revealed his interest Chelsea striker Loic Remy.

Garde yesterday openly admitted that Villa wanted to sign the currently-injured Frenchman on loan in January, and Chelsea interim boss Hiddink was unhappy to hear of the comments.

"From our point of view, I don't think we or the management will go into a similar situation," Hiddink told reporters.

"You have to respect where the players are. If you are interested, talk first to the people with whom they are contracted. You cannot go into details.

"The player has signed a contract here and must be fit for us. He's having a difficult time regarding his injuries. He has to prove first of all that he's a good Chelsea player. He has had a calf problem for several days."

Remy has scored three goals in 14 games this season for Chelsea, but only started once in the league for the defending champions.
