Germany international Kai Havertz could reportedly leave Chelsea during this summer's transfer window.

Kai Havertz is reportedly facing an 'uncertain' future at Chelsea, with the Germany international potentially leaving Stamford Bridge during this summer's transfer window.

The 23-year-old moved to the Blues from Bayer Leverkusen in September 2020, and he has made 119 appearances for the London club, scoring 29 goals and contributing 15 assists in the process.

Havertz has six goals and one assist in 27 appearances at club level this term, and he has been a key player for the club since Graham Potter's arrival as head coach.

The German still has more than two years left to run on the deal that he signed upon his arrival, but there is currently speculation surrounding his future in the English capital.

According to Sky Deutschland Journalist Florian Plettenberg, a lack of Champions League football at Chelsea next season could lead to Havertz departing this summer.

Plettenberg claims that the forward could leave for around €60m (£52.8m), with Bayern Munich believed to be long-term admirers of the former Leverkusen youngster.

"News #Havertz: His future at #CFC is uncertain! His departure in summer is possible. Decisive months could be May or June. Champions League next season is crucial for him. Price tag around €60m with possible bonus payments included," the journalist wrote on his official Twitter account.

Chelsea are currently 10th in the Premier League table, 10 points off the top four, but they could qualify for next season's Champions League by winning the European Cup this season.

The club's extravagant spending over the last couple of transfer windows means that they will be under pressure to make some big sales during the summer market.

However, transfer insider Dean Jones has doubted whether Havertz will be one of the players to leave Potter's side at the end of the campaign.

"I don't think Kai Havertz will leave Chelsea anytime soon at all. They love him. They think he's a brilliant footballer; he is a brilliant footballer," Jones told GiveMeSport.

"I know that he probably gets a bit of a hard time because of his body language and his style of play, but that's just how he is. It's not that he's languid or lazy or anything like that. That is just how Havertz plays football."

Havertz scored 46 goals and registered 31 assists in 150 matches for Leverkusen before his arrival at Stamford Bridge, while he has also netted 12 goals and provided 11 assists in 33 caps for Germany.

Having been knocked out of the FA Cup by Manchester City, Chelsea will not be back in action until the London derby with Fulham in the Premier League on February 3.
