Chelsea team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Leicester City

Chelsea will be aiming to record back-to-back victories in the Premier League for the first time since November when they travel to the King Power Stadium to take on Leicester City in a crunch match for both teams.

The Blues were far from their best in Saturday's West London derby with Fulham, but Mason Mount's second-half strike was enough at Craven Cottage as Chelsea ended a three-game winless run in the top flight with that 1-0 triumph.

Frank Lampard's men occupy seventh spot after that victory, but they are very much in with a shout of making the top four despite their inconsistent form as of late.

N'Golo Kante would have returned from suspension in time for this game, but Lampard has revealed that the midfielder's hamstring injury will force him to miss the trip to Leicester.

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: January 19 (vs. Leicester)

Andreas Christensen returned to training last week after recovering from a knee injury sustained against Aston Villa on December 28, but he was nowhere to be seen at Craven Cottage. However, the Dane's absence could very well have been a tactical decision from Lampard, and he should be available to play if needed this week.

Chelsea have no players suspended for this game.
