Jose Mourinho: 'Late win over Everton makes up for West Bromwich Albion draw'

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho says that beating Everton with a stoppage-time winner makes up for the late equaliser his team conceded at West Bromwich Albion in their last league game.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has claimed that beating Everton with a stoppage-time winner this afternoon makes up for the late equaliser that his team conceded at West Bromwich Albion in their last Premier League game.

Mourinho's men, who had been forced to settle for a 1-1 draw at The Hawthorns on February 11 following a dramatic Victor Anichebe leveller, overcame the Toffees 1-0 thanks to a 93rd-minute goal from captain John Terry.

"The feeling when you lose late points is bad," Mourinho explained. "When you win it's the opposite. It's a compensation of the points lost against West Brom.

"It's a good feeling to win in the end. The players did everything, they wanted to win."

Terry has now scored three goals this season.
