Former Chelsea winger Florent Malouda believes that Jose Mourinho will bring the club more success in the future.

Former Chelsea winger Florent Malouda has insisted that the club will win more trophies under Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese was recently appointed manager at Stamford Bridge for the second time after leaving in 2007.

Mourinho won two Premier League titles, two League Cups and the FA Cup during his initial three-year stint in charge of the Blues.

"He is a good coach and will take Chelsea to the top," Malouda told Goal.com. "Though Mourinho did not fare too well at [Real] Madrid, he is the right man for the Chelsea job and can push the club to win more titles.

"He has been there before and he knows the players, the fans, the management and of course the Premier League terrain so well, so it will not be a problem for him."

Malouda was released by Chelsea in 2007 following a seven-year spell at the club.
