Frank Lampard offered mega money to make switch to China next season?

Lampard offered £1m a month to play in China?

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard will reportedly be offered £250,000 a week after tax to play his football in China next season.

The England international is out of contract at Stamford Bridge next summer and a pair of wealthy Chinese clubs are ready to cash in, according to The Sun.

Lampard turned down a summer offer from Los Angeles Galaxy to join David Beckham in Major League Soccer to fight for a first-team place in west London.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is believed to have signalled a change in policy at the club and will only one-year extensions to players aged over 30.

Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua are keen to sign Lampard, where he would be reunited with former teammates Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka.

The 34-year-old remains a key component of Roberto Di Matteo's squad, scoring in Chelsea's 4-1 win over Norwich City last weekend to keep the Blues top of the Premier League table.
