Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink: 'Cesc Fabregas comes to work with a smile'

Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink says that Cesc Fabregas comes to work with a "smile", despite rumours that the midfielder could leave the club in the summer.

Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink has tried to dispel rumours surrounding Cesc Fabregas's future by suggesting that the midfielder is happy at Stamford Bridge.

The Spain international has been linked with Inter Milan and Juventus amid reports that he will leave the Blues at the end of the season.

Fabregas was substituted during Chelsea's 2-2 draw against Watford on Boxing Day and was not included in the squad that played out a goalless draw against Manchester United on Monday due to having a high temperature.

When asked in today's press conference about Fabregas's position at the club, Hiddink told reporters: "He's coming in with a smile, which is what I always like. They come in with a smile and not a worn-out face.

"We need all the players here until the end of the season. You know better than I do that Chelsea are still in a position where we have to improve to get up the table, so we need all the players at the moment. So we don't talk about the rumours."

Fabregas joined Chelsea from Barcelona in 2014.
