Chelsea step up Eden Hazard pursuit?

Chelsea are reportedly close to clinching the signing of Lille playmaker Eden Hazard.

The 21-year-old is thought to have a desire to move to the English league, prompting speculation that the Belgium international could be on his way out of France this month.

The former Premier League champions are believed to have been tracking the Ligue 1 star for some time and it has emerged that Hazard has provisionally agreed terms with the Blues, according to the Daily Mail.

It is understood that Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas is keen to blow his competitors out of the water by acting swiftly with an approach for the player.

Real Madrid, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have all been linked with moves to Hazard.
