Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has revealed his delight at being involved in the Club World Cup.
The Blues qualified for the tournament after winning the Champions League last season, and face Monterrey in the semi-finals of the Cup in Japan on Thursday.
The Londoners go into the competition after back-to-back wins against Nordsjaelland and Sunderland, and Cech wants his side to try to maintain their momentum.
"I'm very happy to be here," said Cech. "It means a lot for any player if you can play in such a great tournament.
"You only get your invitation when you win the Champions League, which isn't easy. I had to wait eight years to get the entry with Chelsea, so I hope we will make the most of it.
"Our last two results were very good, so we will try to carry that momentum into this tournament and we hope it will take us through."
Chelsea currently sit third in the Premier League table.
