Gary Cahill has admitted that Chelsea's season can only get better ahead of Saturday's match against former club Bolton Wanderers.
The 26-year-old has failed to be on the winning side for his new employers following January's £7m move from the Trotters.
"We have had some sticky results of late and I have been plonked straight in the middle of it all so it's been difficult, but the more work we do on the training ground the better it will be," he told the club's official website.
The defender made over 140 appearances for Bolton during four years at the Reebok Stadium.
