Chelsea team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Slavia Prague

Chelsea injury, suspension list vs. Slavia Prague

Chelsea will be looking to return to winning ways on Thursday when they welcome Slavia Prague to Stamford Bridge for the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final.

The Blues won the first leg 1-0 in the Czech capital through a late Marcos Alonso header, but they were beaten 2-0 by Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday.

Maurizio Sarri's men still occupy a top-four spot, though, and they are the strong favourites to come out on top in this week's return fixture against Slavia.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news for Sarri's side ahead of the clash in West London.

CHELSEA'S INJURY LIST

Antonio Rudiger

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Rudiger injured his knee during the first half of Chelsea's defeat at Anfield and, after failing to run it off, had to be replaced before the interval. Sarri is hopeful that it is not too serious, but the centre-back will play no part on Thursday.

Ethan Ampadu

Status: Out Type of injury: Back Possible return date: Unknown

Ampadu has struggled for first-team outings this season, and the Wales international currently finds himself out of contention with a back injury.

Marco van Ginkel

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Another player out of the picture at Stanford Bridge, Van Ginkel is nearing a return after a serious knee injury. The Dutchman's return is unlikely to come before the end of the campaign, though.

CHELSEA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Chelsea have no suspensions ahead of Thursday's encounter.
