Juan Mata: 'I still feel fresh'

Spain midfielder Juan Mata insists that he still feels fresh, despite playing in 68 games during the season.

Spain midfielder Juan Mata has insisted that he does not feel tired ahead of his 69th match of the season on Thursday night.

Mata has endured a marathon season for club and country, but ahead of Spain's fixture with Tahiti, the playmaker has revealed that he has no problem in competing in so many fixtures.

The 25-year-old told reporters: "Obviously it's tough, talking about it physically, but I don't feel down, I still feel fresh and all I want is to play as many games as I can.

"I really enjoyed this season. It was a tough and long for us, but at the end we won a trophy so it was good.

"I really love to play with my national team, so all I can do is train and look forward to playing, because I love to play football."

The former Valencia player made 64 appearances for the Blues last season.
