Domenico Di Carlo named Cesena coach

Serie A side Cesena have appointed Domenico Di Carlo as their new head coach following the sacking of Pierpaolo Bisoli.

Bisoli was dismissed on Monday in the wake of the team's eighth loss of the season against Atalanta.

Cesena are currently in 19th place in the table, five points adrift of safety.

Di Carlo's contract at the Stadio Dino Manuzzi is due to expire at the end of the season.

The former Livorno manager will take charge of the team for the first time on Sunday when they entertain Fiorentina in the league.
