Celtic sign defender Jozo Simunovic from Dinamo Zagreb

Celtic have completed the signing of Dinamo Zagreb defender Jozo Simunovic on transfer deadline day.

The 21-year-old Croatian has signed a five-year deal with the Scottish champions.

"I am absolutely delighted to join Celtic," Simunovic told reporters. "I know what a huge club I am joining, one of the biggest in Europe, and I know about its history and its great supporters."

Simunovic joins Celtic as fellow defender Virgil van Dijk leaves the club for Southampton.

Celtic boss Ronny Deila earlier completed the signing of midfielder Ryan Christie from Inverness Caledonian Thistle on deadline day.
