Ronny Deila: Scottish League Cup final a "huge game" as Celtic target treble

Ronny Deila aims for first trophy win

Ronny Deila has admitted that losing a cup final was the worst moment of his career ahead of Celtic's Scottish League Cup final against Dundee United on Sunday.

A win on Sunday would see Celtic start their bid for a treble which Deila feels is a realistic target for the Glasgow giants this season.

"It is a huge game. It was one of our targets before the season and we can achieve it. We are hopefully 90 minutes from a trophy," Deila told Sky Sports News.

"My demands are high. I really hate losing. I have lost one cup final in my life and that is maybe the worst thing I have done.

"So we will do everything we can to put in a good performance and if Dundee United beat us, then it is easy to accept. If we play badly and lose, that is the worst thing but I know if we play really well we have the quality to win the game and that is a target."

Gary Mackay-Steven and Stuart Armstrong will miss the showpiece match against their former club due to being cup-tied.
