Celtic manager Neil Lennon agrees new deal

Lennon pens new Celtic deal

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has signed a fresh one-year contract with the club.

The 42-year-old, who was appointed Hoops manager in June 2010, has penned a rolling contract at Celtic Park.

Lennon has revealed that he has not received a pay increase as part of the new deal, despite reports suggesting otherwise.

"It's a new contract, but there no change on remuneration," Lennon told BBC Sport. "It's still a one-year rolling contract.

"There were just a few legal stipulations and conditions I wanted tweaked a little and club has agreed to it and I signed it this morning.

"Unfortunately for me, it is not a bumper contract as was reported but it is nice thinking that way. There are other stipulations in the contract that I have agreed to but in terms of remuneration it is the same as it was."

Lennon guided Celtic to the Scottish Premier League title and Scottish Cup last season.
