Beram Kayal delighted by Celtic return

Celtic midfielder Beram Kayal reveals that he is delighted to be over his recent injury problems.

Celtic midfielder Beram Kayal has revealed that he is delighted to be back to full fitness following a string of injury problems.

The Israeli, 25, made his first appearance since late November during the Hoops' 2-0 win over Dundee United at the start of the month.

Kayal now intends to stay fit and enjoy the Scottish champions' final five games of the season.

"It's a great feeling and I'm so happy as I worked really hard for three or four months after a long injury to try and come back to my best," he told the club's official website.

"I was delighted to play a full game for the first time in a while and try to help my teammates, and now I want to enjoy the rest of the season.

"We work hard in training all the time and do extra work with the fitness coaches which helps me, but I need games to get my fitness up again. We have five games left and hopefully I can play all of them."

Celtic return to league action on Saturday when they make the trip to Motherwell.

Biram Kayal of Celtic is congratulated by teammate Virgil van Dijk of Celtic after scoring his team's second goal during the UEFA Champions League Group H match between Celtic and Ajax at Celtic Park Stadium on October 22, 2013
