Celtic suspend Stokes for two weeks

Celtic have reportedly suspended Anthony Stokes for two weeks after he complained on social media about being left out of the team.

At the weekend, the 27-year-old criticised the club for not playing him in Sunday's 3-1 away win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

After the match, manager Ronny Deila described Stokes's tweets as "disrespectful" to the team.

Now, according to BBC Sport, the Scottish club have taken action by suspending the striker for a fortnight.

Stokes later apologised for his comments.
