Half-Time Report: Mohamed Elyounoussi, Daniel Hestad hand Molde lead at Celtic

Celtic trail Molde 2-1 at the break in their Group A Europa League tie after goals from Mohamed Elyounoussi and Daniel Hestad.

Molde lead Celtic 2-1 at half time in their Europa League tie in Glasgow this evening thanks to goals from Mohamed Elyounoussi and Daniel Hestad.

The hosts twice had the ball in the back of the net inside the opening quarter of an hour, but both strikes were disallowed for offside.

First, Leigh Griffiths was adjudged to be in an illegal position as he stepped over Nir Bitton's shot, and then the forward strayed beyond the defence as he slotted home from Kris Commons's attempt.

Molde threatened too though and Tyler Blackett headed Elyounoussi's goalbound strike behind before Craig Gordon snaffled the ball off the toes of Tommy Hoiland.

However, Gordon was helpless to prevent Elyounoussi putting Molde ahead after 21 minutes with an unerring volley.

Celtic weren't disheartened by going behind and equalised just five minutes later through Commons, who headed Bitton's strike into the net.

Nonetheless, Molde went ahead again a few minutes before the break as Hestad nodded Elyounoussi's header in at the far post to silence the home crowd.
