Ashley Grimes makes Bury switch

Bury have signed former Rochdale forward Ashley Grimes on a free transfer.

The 26-year-old, who was out of contract at Spotland, has agreed a two-year deal at Gigg Lane.

Grimes began his career as a trainee at Manchester City, but he failed to make a single first-team appearance for the Premier League outfit.

To date, he has scored 35 Football League goals, which have come during spells at Millwall, Lincoln and Rochdale.
