Bury demolish Mansfield Town with four-goal blitz

Mansfield Town suffer a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Bury in tonight's League Two clash at the One Call Stadium.

Mansfield Town have suffered an emphatic 4-1 defeat at the hands of Bury in tonight's League Two clash at the One Call Stadium.

Danny Mayor opened the scoring midway through the first half with a shot from outside the box.

The remainder of the half saw both teams weigh in with dangerous chances, courtesy of Anthony Howell and Samuel Clucas for the home side and Daniel Nardiello and Mayor for the visitors.

It would be the visitors to strike next, however, with Nardiello doubling the Shakers' advantage just before the hour with a close-range shot.

The Welsh frontman bagged his second of the game in the 63rd minute with a long-range effort, putting his side three goals to the good.

Though the Stags pulled a goal back in the 71st minute, courtesy of Clucas, the away side restored their three-goal advantage almost immediately thanks to a left-footed shot from Jake Carroll.
