Ten-men Brisbane Roar come from behind to beat Melbourne Heart

Newly-crowned Premiers Brisbane Roar beat Melbourne Victory 2-1 after coming from behind and going down to 10 men.

Roar took early control of possession and began dominating the play with an attacking threat.

After failing to make their dominance count, Heart were able to launch an attack of their own, which resulted in a goal for Aziz Behich.

The defender received the ball from Rob Wielaert in the box before slotting it into the back of the net and giving his side the lead.

After going a goal down, Roar began to urge their side forward, and came close to a breakthrough when Jade North and Dimitri Petratos stormed into the area before getting blocked by the Heart defence.

Minutes later, Petratos was luckier in his attempts as he found the equaliser before half time.

After the break, Brisbane were dealt a blow when Berisha was given a straight red card for a sliding tackle on goalkeeper Tando Velaphi.

Heart tried to take advantage of Brisbane going down to 10 men, as David Williams unleashed a shot on goal, but it ricocheted off the bar.

Despite being a man down, Roar were able to take the lead when Henrique scored after collecting the ball in the area, resulting in the home side taking maximum points.
