Sebastian Kehl signs Borussia Dortmund extension

Borussia Dortmund captain Sebastian Kehl has signed a one-year contract extension with the Bundesliga club.

The 33-year-old midfielder, whose previous deal was due to expire in the summer, will now be at the Westfalenstadion until the end of next season.

"BVB, our team, the fans and the city of Dortmund have long since become like a piece of home to me," the former German international told the club's official website.

Kehl joined Dortmund from Freiburg in 2001 and has gone on to win three league titles with the team.
