Bordeaux striker Cheick Diabate has ended speculation over his future by signing a new contract with Les Girondins.
Diabate's new deal ties the Mali international's future to Bordeaux until 2016, adding one year to his original deal with the club.
The 25-year-old scored 24 goals in all competitions for Bordeaux last season, including a brace in their 3-2 success against Evian TG in the Coupe de France final.
A brief statement on Bordeaux's official website confirmed that the forward had signed fresh terms today, reading: "The club is happy to announce the prolongation of Cheick Diabate's contract.
"The Mali international is now linked to Les Girondins until 2016. It is good news for Les Girondins, who can now count on their centre-forward for several more years."
Diabate has been at the Ligue 1 club since 2008, coming through Bordeaux's youth ranks to establish himself as their leading striker.
